Tell us your views on Donald Trump's golf course plans

We want to hear your thoughts on Trump's plans for a £1bn golf resort at Balmedie beach.

The debate over the development has polarised opinion - some support the perceived economic benefits of the golf resort while others are opposed on ecological grounds. Have your say here!

This is not 'missing the point', but merely pointing out a well known FACT!
Donald Trumps proposal is purely business. Nothing more or less!
He has laid down a proposal in front of everyone! Hidden nothing! Clearly it will bring jobs and also a bit of prosperity to some, whom never thought that this chance would ever come their way in their life-time! He is bringing in a massive project, which will have to be absolutely flawless! No cutting corners or shoddy workmanship. He will be under close scrutiny at every moment. And a lot of peoples lives will be changed for the better.
Whats the problem?
You know there is a passage in the Bible that says, "No prophet is welcome in his own town!" I know what it means!
I have spent my life travelling around the world. I have lived almost 50 years in China. I am an Aiberdonian! Trump is from Scottish roots as well!
All my life I have been a walking advertisement for Scotland, and happily and conscientiously invited many travellers to visit my hame toon Aiberdeen!
But like Trump, I got the same face at the door, when I came back after 50 years. Why don't you go back to China!
Whatta laugh! Remember the prophet?
Unlike Trump, I am a real Aiberdonian,
I jist smile't at the ba'heeds an' greetin' faces. And none of them had ever swung a golf club in their lives! No, I'm doing fine, 75 and still working and aye rinnin' for the bus! Back in China, I will remember to renew my membership of the St Andrews Society in HongKong!
Happy New Year ...that's my name in Chinese (Hamish)

This is and always has been a nightmare proposal for the North of Aberdeenshire. The North East Region is a neglected corner of Scotland and as a result is less trampled and less subject to the grotesqueries of the modern day. Wild land in danger must be fought over! Yes investment, yes jobs, jobs in conservation!

I am for the development being only 20 miles away in peterhead I think its a great idea not only will it mean jobs for all the locals it will bring well need money in to the north east of Scotland coming from a fishing town that once had a thriving economy and plenty of jobs and now there's nothing left but empty shops and an empty harbour it will only be a good thing and I wish Mr Trump all the best and I speak for many in my town

I am against this project as it is just one too many which destroys our environment just for the sake of money. We are a rich state and should have the forsight to appreciate what little is left of our natural environment. (Obviously I am in England not DR Congo, but there was no alternative).
